Autism Test

The Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) was developed by Simon Baron-Cohen and his colleagues to measure autistic traits in individuals. The quiz you are about to take is the adolescent version of the AQ, which assesses traits commonly associated with autism spectrum conditions. It consists of 50 statements that measure various aspects of social interaction, attention to detail, communication, and imagination.

The AQ is not a diagnostic tool, but it can help indicate whether you may have some traits associated with autism. Scores are based on research presented by Baron-Cohen et al. in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders (2006). For more information, refer to the original research article: Baron-Cohen, S., Hoekstra, R.A., Knickmeyer, R. et al. The Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ)—Adolescent Version. J Autism Dev Disord 36, 343–350 (2006). https://doi.org/10.1007/s10803-006-0073-6.

Answer honestly based on your experiences over the past 6 months. Your results will help determine if further evaluation might be helpful.

This test is a screening tool and not a formal diagnosis. If you are concerned about your results, we encourage you to consult with a licensed healthcare provider for a full evaluation and personalized guidance.
